I am NOT tracking your visits (and the tools I tried)

I have decided against tracking the readers of this blog. Most of these numbers are vanity metrics anyway. At first, I thought of using a more privacy-driven, simple analytics method. The following tools did match that description:

However, either is was way too difficult to setup, it was too expensive, or just did not have the functionality I was looking for. TinyAnalytics came close, though! Too bad it required PHP. That doesn't play well with my website.

Besides, Namecheap, where I host this website, uses AWStats as a web analytics tool in their cPanel. I will use this one as an indicator of the popularity this website. One benefit of this decision is that I do not have to show annoying cookie law pop-up! So enjoy this website without any tracking cookies!
